Actually I do feel sorry for junior Devs in this ai market.

The only way I think to get a gig in the future is a bit like art - have a personal portfolio ready to show others.

In 12 months, nearly all cats may be able to fly.

I said ‘may’, so you can’t call me out on it if, by some chance, it does not come to pass.

USA needs a federal law whereby if you say stupid shit and you are proven wrong, you get a penalty like in this case good penalty would be that you cannot post on ANY social media platform for 12 months :) or every post for the next 12 months is tagged with “the author post stupid shit all the time and should not be taken seriously”

And you think that's something that politicians would want to legislate?

nah man, I was just having some fun :) though OF COURSE politicians would want to legislate it - anything that controls the public narrative is exactly what today's politicians want to regulate

Was it always the case that 90% of what you heard from thought leaders was lies? it feels like there's been a change in the past 20 years. I wonder if this started with Jobs and his reality distortion field and then kicked into infinity by Trump. It seems like society has started to reward the people who tell the biggest lies, moreso then before. Like I'm not saying Dario is lying, but maybe I'm wondering, would he be able to garner as much attention if he said something less outrageous? Would he get more respect from his peers or potential customers?

Which, maybe ironically, I don't know that he knows the truth, Prediction is hard, especially about the future

Of course he is saying that nonsense and he doesn't even care if he's incorrect or lying.

Just like those who are also afraid to openly admit that this is the true definition of "AGI".

To replace humans from all economically valuable jobs with AI for the benefit of humanity.

I'll believe that when I see it.

The terms "nearly" and "may" render this statement practically worthless
